- Program Overview
SPYS (Salesian Pastoral Youth Service) was founded in 1995 by a group of passionate young people and Salesians committed to volunteering. Recognizing the desire of many young individuals to engage in such experiences, SPYS began offering formation sessions by 2005 to prepare volunteers for missionary work abroad.
The organization focuses on holistic Christian formation, guiding young people to deepen their relationship with the Lord, find inner peace, and serve others. Each year, SPYS invites volunteers to participate in preparation sessions, equipping them for mission opportunities in Malta, Africa, Europe, India, and South America.
