Salesians came to provide technical education and support for disadvantaged students.
Purpose & Objectives
School for students seeking a technical degree or secondary education. The school specifically provides opportunities for students ineligible for government schools.
Programs, Activities, & Other Projects
Oratory, pre-aspirantate, short technical courses, parish work.
Duties & Responsibilities
Teaching and assisting the students. It’s a full time job with extra curricular activities and Sunday as the ‘day off’.
Practical Qualifications/Skills Needed
English language, capacity to animate the students, music, and sports.
Useful Academic Preparation
Teaching English language or social sciences or sciences or math, or any other trade if technically oriented.
Useful Experience
Some experience in teaching and dealing with the young.
Special Challenges/Conditions
It is a town and main city of the province. Being a school for non selected the students we serve a variety of disadvantaged students from throughout the New Guinea Islands (New Britain, New Ireland, Bougainville).

Friends of the Salesians invite for dinners and celebrations occasionally, as well as other religious in the area and the Bishop.
