- Program Overview
The SMV Office in Hungary, a young organization, prepares volunteers for missionary service abroad, with strong ties to Austria, England, Slovenia, Angola, and Ghana. We engage youth (18+) through Austrian camps twice a year, preparing European volunteers for year-long assignments, while recommending three-month service for those going to Africa.
Hungarian volunteers have served in Egypt, India, Ghana, Angola, and several European countries. Run by two former volunteers with support from Salesian Brothers and priests, our office manages all logistics and provides thorough preparation for missionary work, prioritizing placements in Salesian locations worldwide.
