VMS - Voluntariado Misionero Salesiano

The SSM program began 30 years ago, with the Province sending both Salesians and laypeople to various countries, initially focusing on countries within Africa. Over the past 15 years, the program has transformed significantly, enhancing resources for Volunteer training and support, as well as improving coordination with host Provinces.

Each year, an average of 20 volunteers embarks on missions lasting 1 to 3 months, serving in countries such as Angola, Uganda, Mexico, Venezuela, Honduras, the Dominican Republic, Bolivia, Peru, Colombia, Uruguay, and Guatemala. These nations remain key partners, benefiting from the dedication and service of our volunteers, who spread God’s love through their mission.
