Inspired by Don Bosco’s commitment to disadvantaged youth, the Salesians of Don Bosco Adwa dedicate themselves to advancing economically poor and at-risk young people through quality education and vocational training that empower them to overcome poverty and unemployment. Their vision is to become a center of excellence in human development by collaborating with lay partners and stakeholders, nurturing skilled and responsible citizens with strong moral values. The ministry focuses on comprehensive education, youth centers and oratories that offer recreational and spiritual activities, robust social services for vulnerable groups—including orphaned and street children, young migrants, and trafficking victims—and holistic spiritual formation to instill enduring ethical principles and community responsibility.
At the Polytechnic College, vocational training is provided through both formal and non-formal programs, complemented by extracurricular activities, industrial extension services, research and innovation, and community engagement. The Youth Center Program offers a variety of activities including sports, recreational pursuits, music, dance, circus arts, personal development initiatives, and library services. The Sponsorship Program supports participants by providing school materials, cash assistance, and housing support. Emergency Response Activities include bread and food distribution, nutrition feeding centers, water distribution, safe house protection, non-food item distribution, and counseling for groups and individuals. Additionally, the Parish and Aspirantate implements various initiatives aimed at community development and spiritual growth.
